The Kupwara district administration has issued a weather advisory in view of the forecast of inclement weather by the Meteorological Centre Srinagar between July 19 and July 23.

According to the advisory, residents of Keran, Karnah, Machil, Budnambal, Jumagund, Nowgam and Kumkadi, as well as those living near nallahs, rivers and landslide-prone hilly areas, have been advised to avoid venturing into vulnerable locations until weather conditions improve.

The administration has also urged tourists, travellers and transporters to check the latest road and weather conditions before undertaking journeys to the district's hilly areas.

People have been advised to remain vigilant, follow official advisories and avoid unnecessary travel during the forecast period.
