
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday visited the Baltal Base Hospital in Sonamarg to assess the medical facilities and security arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor met pilgrims, interacted with them about their experience, and enquired about their health and the services being provided at the base camp.
He also inspected the hospital's infrastructure and reviewed the medical facilities available to ensure prompt healthcare support for devotees undertaking the pilgrimage.
Senior officials briefed him on the security deployment, emergency preparedness, and other logistical measures put in place for the safe and smooth conduct of the annual yatra.
The Lieutenant Governor instructed the concerned departments to maintain efficient healthcare services, robust security, and seamless public facilities so that pilgrims receive timely assistance throughout the pilgrimage.
