
Jammu, July 10: Five pilgrims travelling to the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra were injured after a private vehicle from Madhya Pradesh met with an accident near Toldi Nallah on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway on Friday.
Officials said the injured were promptly taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment. A woman, who suffered serious injuries, was referred to Government Medical College, Jammu, for advanced care. The other four pilgrims were also treated for their injuries.
The exact cause of the accident has not yet been established, and authorities have initiated efforts to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said the administration was extending every possible assistance to the injured pilgrims. He added that officials were closely monitoring the situation and ensuring that all those affected received timely medical treatment and necessary support.
