Jammu, August 13: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of White Knight Corps visited the headquarters of CIF (Romeo) to review the security situation and operational preparedness in the hinterland areas of the Rajouri-Poonch region.
During the visit, the Corps Commander was briefed on the prevailing security environment, surveillance arrangements, counter-infiltration measures and initiatives being undertaken to strengthen the operational capabilities of formations and units deployed in the area.
The GOC appreciated the alertness, professionalism and operational effectiveness demonstrated by the troops.
He directed all ranks to maintain a high level of preparedness and responsiveness to effectively address any emerging security challenges.
CIF (Romeo) is responsible for counter-insurgency operations in the Pir Panjal region and plays an important role in maintaining security across the border districts.
