: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has congratulated Indian para archer Ms. Sheetal Devi on winning the Gold Medal in the Women’s Compound Individual Event at the World Archery Para Series 2026, Stage III, held in Ahmedabad.

The Chief Minister said Sheetal’s remarkable achievement, which also includes a Bronze Medal in the Compound Mixed Team Event, is a proud moment for the entire nation. He wished her continued success and greater laurels in all her future endeavours.

The 19-year-old World Champion defeated Kazakhstan’s Aizada Seidan in a shoot-off after the gold medal contest ended in a 144-144 draw. Sheetal shot a 10 with her shoot-off arrow, while Seidan managed a 9, securing the title for the Indian archer at the Sabarmati Riverfront.
