Shabir Ahmad, a government employee serving as Assistant Information Officer in the Department of Information, was felicitated during the 77th Republic Day celebrations held at Bakshi Stadium.

The honour was conferred by Deputy Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir Surinder Choudhary in recognition of his years of commitment, integrity, and devotion to public service. The felicitation formed part of the official Republic Day function attended by senior civil and police officers, public representatives, and citizens.

Shabir Ahmad has served the Information Department for several years and is known as a disciplined and sincere government employee. The recognition, officials said, reflects the administration’s emphasis on acknowledging government employees who consistently uphold the values of transparency and service.
