Security forces hold synergy meet in Udhampur

Udhampur, Mar 7: A Synergy Conference was organised at the Headquarters of Northern Command, bringing together senior officers from the Indian Army, Border Security Force and Indo-Tibetan Border Police. The conference served as an important platform for sharing operational perspectives and strengthening inter-agency coordination to effectively address emerging security challenges.During the conference, officers from the three forces held detailed deliberations on operational constructs, intelligence and information sharing mechanisms, and joint response strategies aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of security operations along the nation’s borders. The discussions also focused on seamless cooperation and better integration of capabilities among the forces to counter evolving threats and maintain robust border management.Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, SYSM, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command, interacted with the participating officers and highlighted the importance of interoperability, coordinated planning and collective response mechanisms among the security forces. He emphasized that strong synergy between the Indian Army, Border Security Force and Indo-Tibetan Border Police is vital for effectively safeguarding the sensitive borders in the northern region.Lt Gen Sharma commended the dedication, professionalism and resolute commitment of the officers and troops deployed along the frontiers. He stressed that regular interaction, exchange of operational experiences and joint training initiatives among the forces would further enhance preparedness and strengthen the collective response to emerging security challenges.An equipment and weapons display was also organised during the event to showcase modern capability enhancements and the induction of advanced technologies aimed at building a future-ready force. The display highlighted ongoing efforts to modernise equipment and improve operational efficiency in challenging terrain and demanding operational environments.The conference reinforced the spirit of synergy, trust and cooperation among the forces and reaffirmed their collective resolve to ensure the security, stability and sovereignty of the nation.
