Srinagar, October 8: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday extended greetings to Indian Air Force personnel and their families on the occasion of Indian Air Force Day.

In a message shared on social media, Sinha acknowledged the contribution of the Air Force personnel in safeguarding the country's airspace and responding to humanitarian emergencies.

“On Air Force Day, greetings to all @IAF_MCC personnel & their families. IAF epitomises valour, dedication & excellence. From safeguarding our skies to humanitarian assistance, our Air Warriors always rise to every challenge with courage. Nation is proud of their glorious legacy,” he said.

Indian Air Force Day is observed annually on October 8 to commemorate the establishment of the Indian Air Force in 1932.

The occasion honours the service and contributions of Air Force personnel and highlights the role of the IAF in national defence as well as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
