
Srinagar, Aug 28: Senior IPS officer M.K. Sinha on Friday took charge as Additional Director General of Police, CID J&K, replacing Nitish Kumar, who has been transferred and posted as ADG Armed J&K.
Sinha, a 1996-batch IPS officer, was earlier serving as ADG Headquarters at Police Headquarters, J&K.
Soon after assuming charge at CID Headquarters, Sinha chaired a meeting with senior officers of the department and reviewed its overall functioning and intelligence-related activities.
Nitish Kumar, a 1999-batch IPS officer, was serving as ADG CID and Director of the State Investigation Agency, J&K, before his transfer.
Senior CID officers welcomed Sinha and assured him of their cooperation and commitment in carrying out their responsibilities.
They also wished Nitish Kumar success in his new assignment as ADG Armed J&K.
