
Srinagar, August 5: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday reiterated the government's commitment to dismantling the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that those responsible for terrorism and those supporting such activities will be brought to justice.
Speaking at a function where appointment letters were handed over to the next of kin of civilians killed in terrorist incidents, the Lieutenant Governor paid tribute to the victims and acknowledged the resilience of their families.
He said the appointment letters would help restore dignity and provide a means of livelihood to families who had endured years of hardship and loss.
The Lieutenant Governor said the administration remains committed to ensuring that every resident of the Union Territory enjoys a life marked by peace, equality and hope.
Referring to the constitutional changes introduced in 2019, Sinha said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a new phase of social justice and inclusive development. He added that the region is progressing with renewed confidence, with development initiatives contributing to lasting peace and prosperity.
