Cyber Police J&K Warns Against Sharing Anantnag Terror Incident Photos and Videos

Srinagar, July 22: Cyber Police Jammu & Kashmir has issued a public advisory urging media organizations and the general public not to circulate photographs or videos related to the recent terror incident in Anantnag, warning that violations may invite legal action.

In the advisory, Cyber Police J&K stated:

"It has been observed that certain media organizations and members of the public are circulating photographs and videos related to the terror incident in Anantnag.

Cyber Police J&K cautions all media organizations and the general public to refrain from sharing, publishing, forwarding, or circulating such content on any platform.

Dissemination of such material may hamper ongoing investigations, compromise public security, and attract legal action under the relevant provisions of law. Strict action shall be taken against violators."

The advisory emphasizes that circulating sensitive material from the incident could interfere with the investigation and affect public safety. Authorities have urged everyone to act responsibly and comply with the advisory to avoid legal consequences.
