Agartala, , JAug 11: Assam Rifles, under Spear Corps, hosted probationers of the Tripura Civil Services Batch 2026 at Agartala, providing them an opportunity to gain insights into the force’s history, organisational ethos and operational functioning.

The interaction focused on familiarising the young civil service officers with the role and responsibilities of Assam Rifles in maintaining peace, security and stability in the Northeast. The probationers were briefed on the force’s longstanding contribution to the region and its engagement with local communities.
The programme also highlighted the importance of close coordination between the civil administration and security forces in addressing challenges and promoting development in the region. The engagement also underlined the broader role of Assam Rifles beyond security operations, including its contribution to community outreach, assistance to civil authorities and initiatives aimed at strengthening bonds with the people.
The visit offered the probationers valuable exposure to the organisational structure and working culture of one of the Northeast’s longstanding security forces. It also reinforced the shared commitment of the civil administration and security establishment towards peace, stability, public service and nation-building.
The interaction concluded with an emphasis on maintaining stronger civil-security coordination and fostering greater understanding among institutions working for the welfare and security of the region.
