Kiphire, Sep 10: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Spear Corps, organised a free medical camp in Kiphire district of Nagaland, extending essential healthcare services to residents of remote border areas.
The initiative was aimed at improving access to basic healthcare for communities living in geographically challenging areas, where access to medical facilities can often be limited. Local villagers and students of Government Primary School (GPS) Phelungre participated in the camp and availed themselves of the medical services.
During the camp, medical personnel conducted comprehensive health check-ups and provided free medicines to those requiring treatment. The participants were also given preventive healthcare advice, with emphasis on maintaining personal hygiene, adopting healthy practices and seeking timely medical attention for health-related concerns.
