Reasi, September 14: An 18-year-old girl died after suffering a gunshot injury under mysterious circumstances at her residence in the Panassa area of Thakrakote block in Reasi district late Sunday night.

Officials identified the deceased as Priyanka Devi, daughter of Kapoor Singh, a resident of Panassa, Thakrakote.

According to initial reports, the girl allegedly sustained the fatal gunshot injury at her home. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear and are being investigated.

Police have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident.
