Srinagar, Aug 26 : The Jammu & Kashmir Water Skiing Association, affiliated with the Wakeboard & Wakesurfing Association of India, successfully concluded its Water Skiing Championship today with an impressive closing ceremony in Srinagar.

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 150 athletes representing over nine districts of Jammu & Kashmir, showcasing the growing popularity and talent of water sports across the Union Territory.
The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Mushtaq Zargar, In-Charge, Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar, holding additional charge of Sports Centre, Nehru Park, as the Chief Guest. Ashraf Dijoo, Executive Member, All India Ice Hockey Federation, attended the occasion as the esteemed Guest.
The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the organisers, athletes, coaches and officials for successfully conducting the championship and promoting water sports among the youth of Jammu & Kashmir.
The event was coordinated under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Muzaffar Ahmed Shah, General Secretary; Mr. JASSM Muzaffar, Vice President; and Mr. Zaid Ul Hassan, Public Relations & Media In-Charge, J&K Water Skiing Association.
The association expressed gratitude to all participating athletes, officials, guests, volunteers and supporters for their valuable contribution towards making the championship a successful and memorable sporting event.
