Doda,, Aug 11: The ASMITA Soft Tennis League 2026–27 was successfully organised at the Multipurpose Indoor Hall, Doda, under the auspices of the J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association, with the aim of promoting women’s participation in sports and providing young girls with a platform to showcase their talent.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of around 100 girls, who competed with great spirit, discipline and sportsmanship. The league provided an encouraging platform for budding female athletes to develop their skills and gain valuable competitive experience.
The programme was graced by Mr. Mohammad Rizwan Wani, Regional Manager, as the Chief Guest. His presence and words of encouragement greatly motivated the participating players.
Manmeet Kour attended the event as Special Guest and Observer, while Ms. Haiyka Batool Zargar was present as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Abuzar Bhat also attended the programme as a distinguished guest.
The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the organisers, coaches, officials and players for successfully conducting the league and emphasised the importance of creating more opportunities for girls in sports.
The organisers expressed their gratitude to all participating athletes, parents, officials, volunteers and supporters for contributing to the successful conduct of the event.
