
Dimapur, June 13: In the run-up to International Day of Yoga 2026, Dao Division and Spearhead Division under Spear Corps organized special yoga sessions across forward and frontier locations to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and harmony among troops and civilians.
The sessions witnessed active participation from Assam Rifles personnel, ITBP, local children, and residents in remote valleys and forward posts. The joint initiative highlighted the importance of yoga as a tool for improving resilience, reducing stress, and enhancing overall health in challenging terrains and operational environments.
Organisers emphasized that such initiatives also strengthen military-civil synergy by bringing security forces and local communities together on a shared platform of wellness and positive engagement. Participants performed various yoga asanas and breathing exercises under guided supervision, focusing on discipline, mindfulness, and holistic health.
