Srinagar, Sep 27: The Schumacher Society, New Delhi, in collaboration with the Central University of Kashmir (CUK), organised a workshop on “Training in Women Leadership”, aimed at empowering women with leadership skills, confidence and the knowledge required to take on greater responsibilities in academic, professional and social spheres.

The workshop focused on the importance of developing women leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to institutions, communities and society. Speakers and participants discussed the need to create an enabling environment where women can strengthen their leadership potential and actively participate in decision-making processes.
The programme highlighted that leadership is not merely about holding positions of authority but also about developing the ability to communicate effectively, take informed decisions, manage challenges and inspire others. Participants were encouraged to recognise their own strengths and develop skills that can help them navigate professional and social challenges.
The organisers emphasised the importance of investing in women’s education, capacity building and leadership development. Such initiatives, they said, can help create a generation of confident women who can contribute to institutional growth and wider social transformation.
