
Srinagar, Oct 6: The Inter-District UT-Level Judo Championship for Boys concluded successfully at the Indoor Sports Hall, Polo Ground, Srinagar, with young judokas from different districts of Jammu & Kashmir displaying exceptional skill, strength, discipline and sporting spirit.
The championship was organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, through the concerned District Youth Services & Sports authorities, with the objective of providing talented young athletes a competitive platform to showcase their abilities and promote the sport of Judo at the grassroots level.
Players representing District Srinagar, Jammu, Reasi and Kathua put up an extraordinary performance throughout the championship. The participants demonstrated remarkable technical ability, physical fitness, determination and fighting spirit, making the competition highly competitive and exciting.
The bouts witnessed impressive displays of throws, holds, agility, tactical awareness and sporting discipline, reflecting the hard work and dedication of the young athletes as well as their coaches and physical education personnel.
The Department of Youth Services & Sports appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the athletes, officials and coaching staff and congratulated all the participants for their commendable performances. The championship also provided an important opportunity for the identification and nurturing of promising young judo talent for future competitions at higher levels.
The successful conduct of the championship reflects the continued efforts of the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, towards promoting sports, encouraging youth participation and creating competitive opportunities for young athletes across the Union Territory.
