Changlang, Oct 3: Security forces foiled an alleged plot by cadres of the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) to target security forces in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, following specific intelligence inputs.

Acting on the intelligence, Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps launched an operation in the area and apprehended two suspected ULFA-I cadres.
The operation also led to the recovery of a weapon, ammunition and other war-like stores, officials said.
The successful operation was carried out as part of ongoing efforts by security forces to prevent militant activities and maintain peace and stability in the region.
The apprehension of the two cadres and recovery of the war-like stores is expected to assist security agencies in further investigations into the alleged plot and the activities of ULFA-I networks in the area.
