Doda, Sep 12: District Youth Services and Sports Department today declared open the Inter-District Divisional Level Kabaddi Tournament for Under-19 Boys here at the Indoor Stadium. The three-day tournament is being held from September 12 to 14, 2026, with participation of Kabaddi players from across districts of the Jammu Division.

The tournament was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Anil Kumar Thakur.
Addressing the participating players, the Chief Guest advised them to maintain discipline, sportsmanship and team spirit throughout the tournament and encouraged them to give their best while respecting the rules and true spirit of the game.
The inaugural ceremony featured a colourful march past, oath-taking ceremony and formal declaration of the tournament open, marking the beginning of an exciting sporting competition.
On the opening day, matches were played in different pools. In Pool-A, Ramban defeated Kathua by 24 points in an exciting contest. In Pool-B, Reasi registered a convincing 43-point victory over Kishtwar.
The event is being conducted smoothly with the cooperation and support of the District Administration Doda, along with the dedicated efforts of departmental officials, technical staff and field functionaries. The participating teams displayed great enthusiasm, discipline and sporting spirit throughout the day's proceedings.
