Srinagar, April 12: The iconic Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar has once again become a major attraction for visitors, with tourists describing Kashmir as “Paradise on Earth” while praising its natural beauty, calm atmosphere, and warm hospitality.

A steady influx of visitors was witnessed at the garden, where thousands of blooming tulips in vibrant colours have created a striking visual spectacle against the backdrop of the Zabarwan Hills. Tourists from different parts of India and abroad were seen taking photographs, walking through floral pathways, and soaking in the scenic surroundings.
Many visitors said a trip to Kashmir remains incomplete without experiencing the Tulip Garden in full bloom. “This place truly justifies the title Paradise on Earth. The beauty here is beyond words, and the hospitality of the people makes the experience even more special,” said a tourist from Delhi.
Another visitor from Maharashtra said the visit had been on their bucket list for years. “We have seen pictures and videos, but being here is completely different. It feels peaceful, safe, and incredibly beautiful. Everyone should visit Kashmir at least once in their lifetime,” he said.
Foreign tourists also echoed similar sentiments, appreciating both the natural charm and the welcoming nature of locals. Several visitors noted that the well-maintained gardens, orderly movement, and scenic landscapes added to the overall experience.
Local tourism stakeholders said the growing footfall reflects renewed interest in Kashmir as a prime travel destination. They added that the Tulip Garden, with its seasonal bloom, continues to be a key driver of tourism in the Valley, attracting visitors during peak spring months.
Officials associated with the tourism department said efforts are being made to enhance visitor experience through better facilities, crowd management, and upkeep of the garden, ensuring that the destination remains one of the most sought-after attractions in the region.
As the tulips continue to bloom in full glory, the garden remains a symbol of Kashmir’s natural beauty, drawing admiration from visitors who leave with lasting memories of its colours, calmness, and charm.
