Awantipora, Feb 26: J&K Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025-26 organized a T-20 Knockout Cricket tournament in Awantipora. The tournament which was inaugurated by SSP Awantipora at DPL Awantipora concluded today with a colourful closing ceremony.

On the closing ceremony, SSP Awantiporra, DySP DAR and other officers of Police attended the closing ceremony. The final match of the T20 cricket tournament was played between JCC Midoora vs Chandrigam 11 in which JCC Midoora emerge as winners of the tournament. The tournament was played on knock out basis. Eight teams from different areas of Police District Awantipora participated in the tournament with great enthusiasm, passion and valour.
While speaking on the closing ceremony, SSP Awantipora said that J&K Police has always been on the forefront in providing platform to youth and guide them in following their goals by organizing different events across J&K. He also presented trophies to winner team and runner up team.
The Winning team was awarded with trophy, Cricket Kit, Cricket Uniform and Runner-up team was awarded with Trophy, Cricket Uniform and Cricket Kit. Man of the Match was given to Adil Wani of Midoora and Man of the tournament/Best Batsman award was given to Junaid Wani of Midoora. Best Bowler award was given to Gowhar Ahmad of Midoora. Medals were given to all the players of winner Up and runner up teams.
While addressing the participants, SSP Awantipora thanked the participating teams for their sportsmanship and enthusiasm during the tournament.
