
Srinagar, Aug 20: The 7th J&K UT Kudo Championship 2026 concluded successfully today at the Indoor Stadium, Indoor Sports Complex, Polo Ground, Srinagar, with the participation of around 500 athletes from different districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
The closing ceremony was graced by Satish Chandra, Honourable Chairman, J&K RERA Department, as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Bilal Ahmed Parray, Chairman, Jammu & Kashmir Development Foundation, and Dr. Hilal Ahmed Rather, Assistant Director, Department of Physical Education and Sports, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), as Guests of Honour, Nazir Maqdoomi Chairman DSKA along with several other distinguished dignitaries, officials, coaches, sports teachers, parents and members of the Kudo fraternity.
The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from athletes representing different districts of Jammu & Kashmir, showcasing their talent, discipline, sportsmanship and dedication to the sport of Kudo.
At the conclusion of the championship, District Srinagar secured the First Position, District Budgam secured the Second Position, and District Anantnag secured the Third Position in the overall team standings. The outstanding performances of the athletes were appreciated by the dignitaries and officials present at the closing ceremony.
The Jammu & Kashmir Kudo Association expressed its sincere gratitude to all the participating districts, athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, parents and supporting organisations whose valuable contribution made the championship a grand success.
