Itanagar, April 11: Spearhead Division under SpearCorps is set to organise a Defence Forces Veterans Rally at Likabali Military Station in Arunachal Pradesh on April 26, 2026, aimed at strengthening engagement with ex-servicemen and addressing their welfare-related concerns.
The rally is being organised as part of the Indian Army’s continued outreach initiatives to maintain close contact with veterans and ensure timely redressal of their issues, including pensions, healthcare access, documentation support, and other welfare schemes.
According to officials, the event will provide a single platform for veterans and their families to interact directly with representatives from the Army and various welfare agencies. Dedicated help desks are expected to be set up to assist in resolving grievances on the spot, wherever possible.
The initiative also seeks to raise awareness about ongoing government welfare programmes for ex-servicemen, including healthcare benefits, ECHS services, and resettlement support.
Senior military officials are expected to attend the rally and interact with veterans, acknowledging their service and contributions to the nation. The event will also focus on strengthening the bond between serving personnel and retired soldiers, reinforcing the Army’s ethos of lifelong commitment to its personnel.
The Spearhead Division said the rally reflects its commitment to honouring veterans and ensuring that their post-retirement needs are addressed with dignity, efficiency, and care.
