Ahmedabad, Feb 15: The Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Spear Corps, organised a National Integration Tour (NIT) for 23 participants from Manipur to Ahmedabad, offering them a unique opportunity to experience India’s cultural heritage, technological progress, and national landmarks.
During the tour, participants visited the iconic Atal Bridge, an architectural marvel symbolising modern urban development, and Dandi Kutir, a museum dedicated to the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. The group also explored the vibrant Law Garden, known for its cultural ambience and traditional handicrafts.
A major highlight of the tour was the visit to the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue, paying tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The participants also toured Science City, where they witnessed India’s advancements in science, innovation, and technology through interactive exhibits and immersive experiences.
As part of the programme, the delegation called on the Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat, Shri Acharya Devvrat. The Governor interacted warmly with the participants, encouraging them to pursue education, leadership, and nation-building with dedication and confidence.
The National Integration Tour aims to foster unity in diversity by exposing youth from remote and border areas to different regions of the country. Through such initiatives, Assam Rifles continues to strengthen national integration, broaden horizons, and inspire young citizens to contribute positively to India’s progress.
