Moreh , May 16: The Assam Rifles under Spear Corps carried out a swift medical evacuation and emergency response operation after a road accident in Moreh area of Tengnoupal district, Manipur, providing timely treatment to injured civilians.

According to officials, three individuals injured in the accident were immediately evacuated by Assam Rifles personnel and shifted for medical assistance. The on-ground medical team provided first aid and stabilised the victims before further treatment, ensuring that critical care was delivered without delay.
The prompt response came after information regarding the accident was received by deployed units, following which security personnel quickly reached the site and coordinated rescue efforts. The injured were assessed for trauma and other injuries, and necessary medical intervention was carried out on priority.
Officials said the timely action helped prevent further deterioration of the victims’ condition, particularly given the challenges of accessing advanced medical facilities in remote and difficult terrain areas like Moreh.
