Sopore police arrest drug peddler

Sopore, Feb 26: In a crackdown on narcotics, J&K Police arrested Umar Tariq Dar, resident of Mumkak, Batpora Sopore, during naka checking at Chachu Mode, Iqbal Nagar. Psychotropic substances including Spasmoproxyvon Plus capsules and Alprazolam tablets were recovered. A case under FIR No. 38/2026 has been registered, and the accused has been taken into custody. Police reiterated their commitment to making society drug-free and urged public cooperation in combating the menace.
