Shopian hospital staff protest over pending salaries

Shopian, Feb 26: Non-gazetted employees at Government District Hospital Shopian staged a protest demanding the release of salaries pending for the past three months. The protest comes amid administrative uncertainty following the retirement of the Medical Superintendent, leaving the post vacant.Staff members highlighted financial hardships caused by delayed wages and urged the Health Department to appoint a full-time Medical Superintendent and ensure timely salary disbursement. District administration officials have been informed and reportedly assured early resolution.
