
Imphal, April 11: Red Shield Division under SpearCorps organised a meeting with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and village headmen from Tangkhul and Kuki villages in Manipur, aimed at promoting dialogue, peace, and mutual understanding among local communities.
The meeting was attended by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Red Shield Division, who interacted with community representatives and discussed practical measures to strengthen harmony and rebuild trust among different groups in the region.
During the interaction, emphasis was laid on the importance of sustained communication between communities, local leadership, and security forces to ensure lasting peace and stability in the area. The participants exchanged views on prevailing challenges and highlighted the need for continued engagement to address social concerns at the grassroots level.
The Army officials reiterated their commitment to supporting peace-building efforts and facilitating an environment conducive to reconciliation and development. They stressed that collective efforts by civil society, village leadership, and security forces are essential for long-term stability in the region.
Community representatives appreciated the initiative and expressed hope that such engagements would continue, helping to strengthen mutual understanding and foster peaceful coexistence among different communities in Manipur.
