
Rajouri, April 19: A major road accident occurred near Crusher Aitti in Rajouri district, leaving 18 persons injured. Soon after the incident, rescue teams and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to nearby health institutions for treatment.The injured have been identified as:
Azishan (23) S/o Abdul Hameed R/o Sajj; Abrar Ahmed (30) S/o Mohd Pervaiz R/o Darhal; Mohd Moreed (34) S/o Mohd Moreed Lal R/o Behair; Shahid Ahmed (32) S/o Mohd Rafiq R/o Darhal; Shamim Akhter (42) W/o Amin Shah R/o Khrud; Shamim Akhter (24) W/o Liaquat Hussain R/o Kala Ban; Isama Kouser (20) D/o Mohd Shabir R/o Dodaj; Naseem Akhter (40) W/o Mohd Nazir R/o Bathuni Thikrian; Mohd Nazir (65) S/o Faqeer Mohd R/o Bathuni Thikrian; Toshiba Rehman (18) D/o Abdul Rehman; Mohd Tazeem S/o Orangzaib R/o Neeli Darhal; Mohd Shabir (67) S/o Said Ullah R/o Dodaj; Haseena Kouser (35) W/o Mumtaz Hussain R/o Darhal; Muskrat Ali (40) S/o Shokat Ali R/o Ward No. 8 Rajouri; Wahida Fatima (35) W/o Irfan Ahmed R/o Badhnoo; Tofeeq Ahmed (20) S/o Orangzaib R/o Topa Darhal; Umaria (13) D/o Mumtaz Ahmed R/o Dodaj Darhal; and Bassar Hussain (40) S/o Mohd Jaan R/o Neeli Darhal.All the injured are undergoing treatment and are under close medical supervision.
Moreover, the Principal of Government Medical College Rajouri, Prof. Dr. A.S. Bhatia, along with Medical Superintendent GMC Rajouri, Dr. Shamim, Chowdhury visited Government Medical College Rajouri to assess the condition of the injured and review the medical arrangements. They interacted with the patients and medical staff, ensuring that all necessary care and facilities are being provided.Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a road accident took place at around 10:50 AM on the link road at Panjgrain when an Alto car (JK11E-9165) reportedly skidded off the road and got stuck in nearby bushes.The driver, Zahoor Ahmed S/o Manzoor Hussain R/o Thandapani, Tehsil Manjakote, sustained minor injuries in the incident. His condition is stated to be stable.
Police have taken cognizance of both incidents and initiated further investigation.
