Sopore, Feb 23: In its continued efforts to curb drug trafficking and eliminate the menace of narcotics from society, J&K Police arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered Psychotropic substance from his possession.

A police party of Police Post Fruit Mandi, intercepted a suspicious individual coming from Chinar Crossing towards Fruit Mandi. He has been identified as Mansoor Ahmad Bhat, son of Late Abdul Ahad Bhat, resident of Khawaja Gilgit Batpora, Sopore. Upon personal search, Spasmoproxyvon Plus capsules were recovered and seized as per due procedure. The accused was arrested and accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 37/2026 has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.
