Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Police in Ganderbal arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

A police party during routine patrolling at Preng intercepted a suspicious person. During search, Charas-like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Farhad Khan son of Mohd Arifeen Khan resident of Gujarpati Preng. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 58/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kangan and investigation has been set into motion.
Police remains committed to its mission of making the district free from the scourge of drugs and appeals to the general public to come forward and share any information related to drug peddling or other anti-social activities.
