
Jammu, Feb 19: Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, 15.6 lakh households in J&K have functional tap water connections, leaving over 3.61 lakh households without coverage. Srinagar and Ganderbal have achieved full coverage, while Jammu district has 62,950 households still pending connections. Additional water supply schemes are underway in Kulgam and Yaripora to improve service levels, expected to be completed by 2026-27.
