Itanagar , Feb 18: In a significant outreach effort aimed at strengthening educational infrastructure in remote areas, Dao Division and Spear Head Division under the Spear Corps extended support to schools in Arunachal Pradesh as part of Operation Sadbhavana.
As part of the initiative, computers and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems were handed over to Anini Higher Secondary School, enhancing its digital capabilities and ensuring reliable access to technology in an area where connectivity and power stability often pose challenges. The addition of these systems is expected to improve students’ computer literacy, enable access to online educational resources and prepare them for competitive academic and career opportunities.
In a similar gesture, books and an interactive digital panel were provided to Government Residential School, Papikrung. The interactive panel will facilitate modern teaching methods, making classrooms more engaging and participatory. The supply of books aims to strengthen the school’s library resources, encouraging reading habits and broadening students’ academic horizons.
Officials stated that the initiative is aligned with the broader objective of Operation Sadbhavana, which focuses on community development, youth empowerment and fostering stronger bonds between the armed forces and local communities in the Northeast. By investing in education and digital literacy, the Army seeks to create opportunities for young students in far-flung regions and bridge developmental gaps.
Teachers and local community members welcomed the support, noting that such interventions significantly enhance the quality of education in remote districts. The upgraded infrastructure is expected to benefit hundreds of students by equipping them with essential digital skills and exposure to modern learning tools.
Through these efforts, Dao Division and Spear Head Division reaffirmed their commitment not only to security and operational preparedness but also to inclusive development and capacity-building among youth in Arunachal Pradesh.
