
Srinagar, May 24: National Institute of Technology Srinagar reviewed the final arrangements for the upcoming Global Alumni Meet–2026, “SANGAM 3.0,” scheduled to be held on May 30 with participation from more than 100 alumni from India and abroad.
The meeting was convened under the guidance of Dean of Alumni & International Affairs, Prof. M.A. Shah, and attended by newly elected members of the Executive Committee of the REC/NIT Srinagar Alumni Association for the 2026–2029 term, along with senior faculty members and event organizers.
Detailed discussions were held regarding reception arrangements, delegate registration, hospitality, accommodation, cultural programmes, technical sessions, networking events, and coordination among committees to ensure the smooth conduct of the alumni gathering. The committee also finalized logistical arrangements for the inaugural session scheduled on May 30.
Organizers said the event aims to strengthen institutional ties and promote collaboration among alumni, students, and faculty members.

In his message, Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, said alumni are among the strongest ambassadors of the institute and their achievements continue to inspire students.
He said “SANGAM 3.0” would further strengthen ties between the institute and its alumni while opening new avenues for academic, research, and industry collaboration.
Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman said the administration is committed to extending full support for the successful conduct of the global alumni meet and added that such initiatives help build a vibrant alumni ecosystem contributing to institutional growth.
Prof. M.A. Shah congratulated the newly elected team and expressed confidence that the association would play an important role in enhancing alumni engagement, mentoring initiatives, academic collaboration, and institutional development.
Dr. H.S. Pali emphasized the importance of alumni participation in shaping the institute’s future roadmap and said SANGAM 3.0 would provide a vibrant platform for meaningful interaction among alumni across generations.
Vice President-elect Sayyed Parvaiz Qalandar expressed gratitude to the alumni fraternity for reposing trust in the new team and said the committee would work with dedication to strengthen the global alumni network of NIT Srinagar.
