
Sopore, Oct 11: Ms Neha Jain, IPS, on Sunday assumed charge as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Police District Sopore, succeeding Iftikhar Talib, JKPS.
Upon her arrival at the District Police Headquarters in Sopore, Jain was received by senior police officers and accorded a Guard of Honour.
After assuming charge, the new SSP held an introductory meeting with supervisory officers to review policing priorities and emphasise the need for effective law enforcement and public service.
Jain stressed the importance of professional and people-friendly policing, strengthening public safety, preventing crime and enhancing community engagement. She also underscored a zero-tolerance approach towards drug-related activities and anti-social elements.
