A man (45) tried to end his life by jumping into the River Jehlum on Wednesday.
Sources said that a man jumped into the Reiver Jehlim from Cement Kadal Srinagar, however, the a couple of onlookers jumped into the river too and rescued the man.
Police shifted him to SMHS Hospital Srinagar where his condition is stated to stable.
He has been identified as Farooq Ahmed of Babapora Barthana Qamarwari Srinagar.
