
New Delhi, r, Feb 7: Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 3 Corps, called on Governor of Mizoram, Dr. (Gen) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), at Lok Bhavan today.
The courtesy visit was aimed at strengthening civil-military engagement and fostering closer coordination between the Army and the state administration. During the meeting, Lt Gen Pendharkar discussed operational preparedness, ongoing development initiatives in border areas, and measures for enhancing community outreach programs led by the Army.
Governor Dr. Singh welcomed the GOC and appreciated the Indian Army’s efforts in promoting security, regional development, and welfare activities in remote areas.
