Srinagar, April 8: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has prorogued the Union Territory's Legislative Assembly, bringing the session to a formal end.
According to a bulletin issued by the Assembly Secretariat, the order dated April 7, 2026, was issued by Lt Governor in exercise of powers conferred under Section 18(2)(a) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019.
As per the order Lieutenant Governor has prorogued the Legislative Assembly with immediate effect.
It formally concludes the proceedings of the budget session of Assembly.
