Muzaffarpur, April 17: Langat Singh College, a premier constituent unit of B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University, hosted a high-profile induction ceremony, Deeksharambh, on Friday to welcome the 2025–27 postgraduate cohort. The event, held at the historic Acharya Kripalani Auditorium, was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, with Muzaffarpur District Magistrate Sri Subrat Kumar Sen, IAS, attending as the Chief Guest. Principal Prof. Kanupriya opened the proceedings and welcomed the dignitaries, outlining a plan to transform the heritage institution into a student-centric, technologically advanced "Skill Hub" tailored for 21st-century challenges.
Addressing the freshers, District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen emphasized the importance of self-growth and professional integrity. He urged students to give their best to every endeavor, noting that while results are not always guaranteed, honest effort brings success. Sri Sen encouraged the students to use state government schemes for startups and sports, while advocating for the productive use of social media.
In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai called for a change in the student mindset, asserting that higher education goes beyond getting degrees. The ceremony coordinated by NSS Program Officer Dr. Shashikant Pandey and followed by a vote of thanks from NCC Officer Dr. Rajeev Kumar.
