
Srinagar, Feb 18: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) is conducting a fortnight-long “Smart Meter Pakhwada” from February 9 to 23, 2026, to educate consumers on prepaid smart meters, digital billing applications, and real-time energy monitoring.
Help desks and informational kiosks have been set up across the Valley to provide interactive demonstrations and clarify consumer queries. Officials showcased applications like “billsahuliyat ” and “smartbs”, enabling consumers to monitor electricity usage and bills remotely.
KPDCL urged consumers to participate actively, noting that smart meters are vital for building a reliable, efficient, and future-ready power distribution system.
