Kashmiri Parents Urge Evacuation of Students from Iran

Srinagar, Mar 4: Families of Kashmiri students stranded in Iran have appealed to the government for their immediate evacuation amid escalating conflict and airstrikes across the country.

Parents thanked the Ministry of External Affairs, Prime Minister, and Jammu and Kashmir authorities for relocating students from Tehran to Qom but stressed that the security situation remains critical. “Every inch of Iran is under fire. Students, businessmen, and pilgrims are at high risk. We want our children evacuated safely, even if we have to pay for tickets,” said Suhail Muzamil Qadri.
Reports of explosions near student hostels, including one in Urmia, have heightened fear and anxiety among students. Many relocated to Qom still hear blasts, leaving them traumatised and unable to focus on studies. Parents described the situation as a psychological crisis, affecting both students and families.
