Itoo visits SHMS Hospital to meet injured school children

Srinagar, Jun 13 Jammu and Kashmir’s Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Saturday visited the SHMS Hospital here to enquire about the health of school children injured in a recent incident.

Minister Itoo, who also holds the portfolios of School Education, Higher Education and Social Welfare, arrived at the hospital around 6 am. She went round the wards where the injured children are admitted and met each child personally.
The minister interacted with the young patients and their families, assuring them of the best possible medical care. She also took stock of the treatment being provided and directed hospital authorities to ensure round-the-clock availability of medicines and specialist doctors.
“The government stands with the affected families in this difficult hour. No effort will be spared for the speedy recovery of the children,” Itoo said during her visit.
Senior doctors and hospital administrators briefed the minister about the condition of the injured. She also reviewed the emergency response system of the hospital.
