Srinagar, Oct 8:: Locals of Iqbal Colony ‘A’ Lane in Mehjoor Nagar have questioned the exclusion of their road from the ongoing macadamisation work in the area, saying the lane remains in a poor and badly damaged condition while adjoining roads are being upgraded.
The residents said the neglected stretch has been causing considerable inconvenience to pedestrians, motorists and other commuters, particularly as work is being carried out on roads in the surrounding area.
They have appealed to Chanapora MLA Mushtaq Guroo to look into the matter and ensure that Iqbal Colony ‘A’ Lane is also included in the ongoing macadamisation programme.
The locals said they expect the concerned authorities to assess the condition of the lane and take necessary measures to restore the road without further delay.
