Indian Army make great impact in Rajouri, Poonch community dev: Locals

The Indian Army has made ignificant impact on community development and empowerment in the Rajouri and Poonch regions as per locals.
The locals say that numerous important steps have taken by the army in which one of the significant is to organize driving classes for women.
“I am quoting an example of my friend Shazia from Bhata-Durian who is a beneficiary of this scheme. This is a glimpse of women empowerment and a stepping stone for encouraging women roles and making them self reliant in this contemporary world,” said a local female.
Moreover, the Army has established skill based Stitching classes in various villages and gives a direction to start their own tailoring business.
The Women from Kakora and Sangiot villages are continuously praising this initiative as it has shown them a hope to do the best in their lives for achieving a milestone and to prove to themselves to be strong in this male dominating society.
It is said that the Army extends their involvement in many other fields to uplift the society and define the role of women in every area like the agricultural sector where the army introduces mushroom farming with the help of agricultural experts.
The awareness with the help of workshops and training centres on mushroom cultivation really empowered the villagers to start farming ventures, particularly in Topa Pir village of Thanamandi, which has been transformed into a 'Model village' within six months.
“If I am talking about the Previous condition of this village then it was underdeveloped but due to the effort of the army now the village has many facilities like electricity, roads, drinking water etc. The residents of that village are expressing deep gratitude to our pride Army,” said a local.
Another one said ,”In region our army controlled all activities by stopping terrorism completely and provided a defense and security to the local population and assured them of their upliftment. They engage constantly with the villagers and support them by building confidence for their safety.” The Army allows the communities to live their normal lives and move on for the development of the nation.
The Army's inclined toward the growth of the nation and encouraging all sections of society to achieve their educational goals with dedication and enthusiasm.The army visited many schools and was aware of students as well as school faculties to reforestation the trees to protect the environment. Some are like Pine Wood School (Sabra) and Tender Feet School (Keri) and many more such schools providing free education to underprivileged children and offering scholarships (JKSSS) for higher studies. The marginalized Bakarwal and Gujjar communities, primarily dependent on livestock, have benefited from the Army's medical camps and patrols, especially an inaccessible areas. The presence of lady doctors in these remote locations is particularly noteworthy. The Indian Army's efforts in these regions are a testament to their commitment to the welfare and development of the people, encompassing empowerment, sustainable agriculture, healthcare, and education.Hence the role of army is enormous and its a matter of pride for all of them who are able to know the value of our freedom. The public from Topa Pir salute the work of the army and say thanks to them for their sacrifices for all people of society.
