Srinagar, Sep 3: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone Sujit Kumar-IPS on Thursday visited Anantnag and chaired a security and crime review meeting.

The police said that the meeting held at District Police Office Anantnag was attended by DIG South Kashmir Range Javid Iqbal Matoo-IPS, SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS and other senior officers of the district.
During meeting, IGP Kashmir reviewed overall security situation and crime scenario in the district and took detailed assessment of security arrangements, crime prevention measures, investigation of cases and ongoing police operations.
He emphasized strengthening security grid, maintaining close coordination among field formations and ensuring timely and effective action against criminal and anti-social elements. He also stressed upon enhancing preventive measures and maintaining heightened vigilance to ensure peace and security in the district.
