IGAR(N) reviews operational readiness in Wokha

Kohima, June 13: Maj Gen Harinder Singh Mavi, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), visited Wokha district in Nagaland on 12 June 2026 and carried out a comprehensive review of operational readiness, administrative efficiency, welfare measures, ongoing activities, civil–military coordination, and challenges being faced by deployed units.

The visit aimed to assess the force’s preparedness in maintaining internal security and ensuring stability across the region. Senior officers briefed the Inspector General on operational deployments, logistical support systems, and ongoing initiatives to strengthen coordination with civil administration and local communities.
During his interaction with troops, Maj Gen Mavi appreciated their professionalism, discipline, and commitment to duty in challenging terrain and operational conditions. He lauded their consistent efforts in maintaining peace and security while also contributing to community welfare and development initiatives.
The Inspector General emphasized the importance of continued vigilance, high operational standards, and strong civil–military engagement to address emerging security challenges effectively. He also encouraged personnel to maintain morale and uphold the proud traditions of the Assam Rifles.
