IG Assam Rifles (N) reviews security in Phek

Phek, Nagaland, July 26: : Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) visited Phek Battalion, Nagaland, to review the prevailing security situation and strengthen coordination with local stakeholders.

During the visit, the IG interacted with representatives of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and highlighted the importance of close cooperation between Assam Rifles, community leaders and local organisations in promoting peace, security and development in the region.
He emphasised the role of mutual trust and collaboration in addressing challenges and maintaining a stable environment. The interaction reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ commitment to working closely with local communities and supporting initiatives aimed at regional progress.
The IG also reviewed ongoing operational developments and innovations undertaken by the battalion to enhance effectiveness and preparedness. He interacted with personnel, appreciated their professionalism and dedication, and encouraged them to maintain high standards of operational readiness while continuing meaningful engagement with the local population.
The visit underscored Assam Rifles’ continued focus on security, community partnership and strengthening civil-military relations in Nagaland.
