Pulwama, July 27:The 44 Rashtriya Rifles, Shadimarg, inaugurated the second edition of the Formidable Cricket League to encourage youth participation in sports and promote positive activities.The opening match was played at Watho Sports Ground between Qasbayar Cricket Club and Achgoza Cricket Club. Batting first, Achgoza scored 102 runs in 18 overs. In reply, Qasbayar scored 106 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the 12th over to win the match.Captain Umar Tak scored 46 runs, while Arshid Magray contributed 19 runs and took two wickets. For his all-round performance, Magray was adjudged Player of the Match.The organisers said the league aims to provide young players with a platform to showcase their talent and promote discipline, teamwork and healthy engagement among youth.The players expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for organising the tournament and providing them with an opportunity to showcase their talent.
